Cruelty Free Shopping Apps Help You Locate Brands

Tired of searching for the Bunny logo on every product? Download these apps to your phone to quickly identify cruelty free brands while you're shopping:

  • Leaping Bunny app, free: This app lists all brands with the Leaping Bunny cruelty free certification, with links to the brand product pages. Leaping Bunny is the highest certification in the US and Canada for cruelty free brands. The app also lets you scan bar codes and immediately find if the brand is Leaping Bunny certified.

  • Cruelty-Cutter, free: For iPhone and iPad. Use this app to scan an item and have an immediate response about its animal testing status. Cruelty-Cutter has every company in the Leaping Bunny and PETA lists and also includes companies they have determined on their own to be cruelty free. The app doesn't identify whether the company is PETA certified, Leaping Bunny certified, or determined cruelty free by Cruelty-Cutter. Some users may want that information if they prefer the stronger Leaping Bunny standard. Cruelty-Cutter is a project of the Beagle Freedom Project, a nonprofit that finds homes for beagles who have been used in laboratory experiments.
